IVIK UNSA - Two workshops were held for academic, scientific-research/artistic-research and professional staff of UNSA
On 12 March 2024, as part of the scientific research project “The Importance of Intellectual Property Rights in Encouraging Innovation and Creativity at the University of Sarajevo” (IVIK UNSA), which is being implemented by the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Law with the support of the University's Center for Research and Development in Sarajevo, which Project is co-financed by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, two workshops were held for academic, scientific-research/artistic-research and professional staff of UNSA.
Knowledge and intellectual creations (author's works and inventions) created at UNSA are a catalyst for the social and economic progress of countries, if they are protected and disseminated in an adequate manner. The brake in that system can be represented by a number of factors, from e.g. low level of awareness about the importance of intellectual property protection, inadequate legal framework for the management of intellectual property created at UNSA, to the lack of support for researchers in the process of protection and commercialization.
In order to eliminate these shortcomings, two workshops were held;
- Workshop “Authors and copyright” led by Prof. Dr. Iur. Iza Razija Mešević was held at the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Law from 9:30-11:30 on the topic of author's works, copyright and the formulation of author's contracts.
- The workshop "Innovations and patents" led by Ass. Adna Škamo, M.Sc. Iur. was held at the UNSA Center for Interdisciplinary Studies “Prof. Dr. Zdravko Grebo” from 12:00-14:00 on the topic of inventions, patents and writing a patent application.
