Self-resonating bodies: processes of transformation in the sound practice
A lecture on sound sculpting and performance in contrasting geopolitical structures.

About artist:
Cristóbal García Belmont is an artist, musician, and performer. Via assembling sound sculptures, improvisations, instruments, and installations his work investigates the circulation of people, mediums, materials, and folklore within the effect of mass transcultural exposures. He also explores the effect of reverberation on different bodies to materialize circuits of relation within multilayered ways of thought and inhabiting.

Cristóbal received a BM from Berklee College of Music and a MS in Art, Culture and Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was an instrument manufacturer at Instruō Modular Glasgow (2018), showcased work at The MassMOCA through the ISM Berlin (2019), the Friedman Gallery with the BIAI and CT::SWAM (2019), and at the NOVA festival at NEC (2021).
