UNSA Faculty of Health Studies Got Its Own Space after 47 Years

On 2 December 2020, an agreement was signed between the University of Sarajevo, the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Sarajevo and the Public Institution “Student Center” Sarajevo on the transfer of long-term use of Pavilion VIII and Pavilion IX.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Rector and Prof. Dr. Arzija Pašalić, Faculty of Health Studies Dean in the presence of Mr. Esmir Opardija, Head of Additional Activities of the “Student Center.” The Agreement will be subsequently signed by the Director of the “Student Center” Mr. Muhamed Omerović

The signed agreement was concluded with the aim of regulating mutual relations between the contracting parties, in connection with the transfer to the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Sarajevo of Pavilion VIII and Pavilion IX as separate construction units within the Public Institution “Student Center” Sarajevo, in Student Settlement “Bjelave,” in order to resolve the issue of accommodation of the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Sarajevo.

Rector Škrijelj pointed out that the signing of the Agreement solves a strategically important issue - the accommodation of the Faculty of Health Studies, which educates the holders of the health profession.

The signing of the Agreement resolved the long-standing struggle for space, and the goal of that struggle, as the dean of the Faculty of Health Studies, Prof. Dr. Arzija Pašalić, is to provide conditions worthy of a student.

The mission of the Public Institution “Student Center” Sarajevo is to provide the best living conditions during the studies for students who use accommodation. Mr. Esmir Opardija expressed satisfaction that the Student Center is part of the project to solve the problem of accommodation at the Faculty of Health Studies.
