University of Sarajevo: Igman for generations to come
At the initiative of Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, a short report on Mount Igman, one of the three Olympic mountains near Sarajevo, where athletes from all over the world competed at the 14th Winter Olympics got prepared.
Preserving the natural values of the Olympic Mountain Igman is our obligation that will enable the generations to come to feel and develop the Olympic spirit in Sarajevo.
A team of researchers and professors from the Faculties of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Sports and Physical Education led by Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj recorded on 20 January 2022 a report on the Veliko polje, Igman as a gift to the academic community of the University of Sarajevo and the authorities in the Sarajevo Canton, with which he wants to encourage them in their efforts to protect and develop the richness of the Igman Olympic Mountain.
