The Third Rectors’ Council of South-East Europe and the Western Balkans held at the University of Mostar
The Third Rectors’ Council of South-East Europe and the Western Balkans held in Mostar and hosted by the University of Mostar. During the forum, Rectors and representatives of over 30 Universities signed the Academic Inter-Institutional Agreement on Cooperation.
The agreement envisages strong engagement and cooperation in the fields of scientific research, higher education, cooperation in the creation of joint curricula, projects defined through different funding programs and, ultimately, joint action on how to better correspond to higher education and the labor market.
A permanent Secretariat has been formed at this Forum, which will coordinate all activities in the organization. The fourth SEE/WB Universities Rectors’ Forum forum will be held in Podgorica at the end of April this year.
Rector of SUM Prof. Dr. Zoran Tomić signed bilateral agreements with the Rector of the University of Belgrade Prof. Dr. Ivanko Popović, Rector of the University of Kragujevac, Prof. Dr. Nenad Filipović and the Rector of the University “St. Kliment Ohridski”in Bitola, Prof. Dr. Sasha Korunovsky.
At this significant event, the University of Sarajevo was represented by Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj and Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation.
