Seminar in Bosnian Language and Literature for Elementary School Teachers in Zenica-Doboj Canton
On Tuesday, March 24, 2018, an expert seminar in Bosnian language and literature was held to elementary school teachers from the Zenica-Doboj Canton. The seminar was organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton in cooperation with the Zenica-Doboj Canton Pedagogical Institute and the Language Institute of the University of Sarajevo, and held at the Metallurgical Institute "Kemal Kapetanović" Zenica. The lecturers were dr. sc. Alen Kalajdžija, Haris Ćatović, MA, Mr. sci. Aida Kršo and Hadžem Hajdarević, writer. The seminar was attended by about 100 teachers from elementary schools in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
Seminar was opened by Ramajana Kukavica, expert advisor for the Bosnian language at the Educational-Pedagogical Institute of the Zenica-Doboj Canton. After her, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Zenica-Doboj Canton Mensur Sinanović addressed the audience, wishing successful work. After that, the director of the Language Institute dr. sc. Alen Kalajdžija presented the work of the Language Institute shortly, after which classes began. Dr. sc. Alain Kalajdžija spoke about the importance of Bosnian language history in the context of contemporary language courses, Haris Ćatović, MA, on the Bosnian-Herzegovinian dialect picture, mr. sc. Aida Kršo on language norms and methodological practices, and Hadžem Hajdarević, a writer, about national literature in the function of teaching mother tongue on the example of the interpretation of poetry.
