National and University Library of BiH representatives at the Regional Meeting of National ISSN Agencies

In Maribor, from 22 to 24 October, a regional meeting of national ISSN agencies was held at the Institute of Information Sciences (IZUM). Fifteen representatives of National ISSN Agencies attended the meeting: from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Hungary, Latvia, Slovenia, Serbia and Ukraine. Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented at this meeting by the Head of the ISSN Center of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adisa Žero and Mr. Sc. Anja Mastilović, Head of the NUBBiH Periodicals Department.
At the beginning, IZUM Director, Dr. Aleš Bošnjak greeted participants. ISSN International Bureau Director, Dr. Gaëlle Béquet chaired the meeting. In addition to last year's meeting and the International ISSN Center report, current ISSN Network issues, such as the ISSN Network strategic plan, RDA rules, ISSN projects, revision of standards and manuals, data quality, ISSN Portal were discussed as well as transition to the new ISSN+ system.
ISSN is the worldwide network for the identification of serials. Founded under UNESCO's UNISIST program, the network acts as an intergovernmental organization with the support of UNESCO and the Government of the Republic of France, and today is made up of national centers in 90 countries.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has been a member of the ISSN network since 1998. ISSN Center BiH monitors all activities taking place within the ISSN network, such as ROAD, ABES, PRESSoo, The Keepers Registry.
