The first step to employment - JobFAIR '19
After the tenth fair organization, JobFAIR - Take your chance returns in big style. The EESTEC LC Sarajevo is organizing an employment fair again for students and graduates of technical and technological Faculties and Economics, which will be held in the University of Sarajevo Campus on 4-5 November.
Holding the Fair for the eleventh consecutive year is a testament to the quality recognized by the increasing number of students and graduates, but also by the companies participating in the Fair. Last year, 21 companies participated in JobFAIR, with over 1,000 students and graduates attending the Fair. The number of visitors who found JobFAIR the desired internship but also employment has been increasing year by year.
JobFAIR's primary goal is to connect students and graduates with future employers, foster business creativity and awareness of the job market. During these two days, visitors to the Fair will have the opportunity to participate in various workshops, and through informal discussions with company representatives, they will learn how to get internships, as well as competencies that lead to permanent employment in one of these companies.
Through all the activities that JobFAIR '19 provides, representatives of companies participating in the Fair will have the opportunity to gain insight into young people's competencies, readiness for work, additional learning and advancement, all with a view to increasing competitiveness in an increasingly demanding job market. One of the advantages of JobFAIR, all these years, is the ability to post CVs to the JobFAIR CV database, which participating companies have access to throughout the year. There are currently over 3000 biographies in the database that can always be further updated.
Every year, the Fair organizers pay special attention to the accompanying activities, which greatly improve the quality of the Fair and contribute to its increased attendance. During the Fair there will be presentations through which the companies participating in the Fair will be presented, followed by CV workshops, OST (Open Space Technology) workshop and the very popular CSD (Career Speed Dating) workshop.
Career Speed Dating, through its unique blend of job interview and speed date, offers the ability to “date” between students or graduates and a potential employer in just 5 minutes.
CSD allows students to try their first job interview with representatives of desired companies and stand out from the crowd with their skills. In this short business interview simulation, the employer can evaluate the student's competencies and the ability to adapt them to different situations. This workshop allows all participants to deal with their fear of business conversation and to overcome it more easily.
Open Space Technology is an interactive workshop where students, together with company representatives, participate in solving problems that companies face on a daily basis. Through the theoretical and practical part of the company representatives represent the work of the company and the technologies used in solving the problems, and students have the opportunity to present their creative ideas and contribute to easier solving these problems, but also to learn something new that may benefit them in the future.
The novelty of last year's Fair, which went extremely well with students, is a business communication workshop that even required a place more, which is proof that JobFAIR always follows the wishes of its visitors. Successful and effective communication is always a challenge for students and graduates who are just walking the business paths. This is why JobFAIR has provided a workshop that will give all interested visitors the opportunity to improve their communication skills.
