University Of Sarajevo Among The 5% Of The Best World Universities According To The Webometrics Ranking

In the Webometrics preliminary July edition ranking, the University of Sarajevo is ranked 1496th on the world list in the total ranking of 30,000 universities covered by screening by four criteria: presence, influence, openness and excellence, which ranks it in the top 5% of all universities from the list.

This is the best position that the University of Sarajevo has ever achieved on this ranking list. We note that in January this year, the University of Sarajevo was in the 1554th place and in July 2019 in the 1669th and in January 2018 at 2039th place. This ranking in the continuous rise represents a significant progress that is the result of the efforts of the management of the University of Sarajevo with its academic and non-academic staff led by the Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, but also in synergy with organizational units.

In this way, the University of Sarajevo joined 5% of the world's best universities, and this position is more significant all the more so because in the past period the criteria have been significantly tightened, i.e. the weight shares of certain factors have changed to the total score.
