Koncert violinistice Alme Dizdar i pijaniste Nadira Hošića

The December repertoire of this year's Concert Season of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo, which is also part of the UNSA Celebratory December Days program, included a concert by Alma Dizdar, violinist and assistant at the Music Academy, and young pianist Nadir Hošić. This duo will perform on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 7 pm in the Concert Hall "Cvjetko Rihtman", when they will perform the Sonata for Violin and Piano Op. 12, no. 2 in A major by Ludwig van Beethoven, Sonata for Violin and Piano Op. 45, no. 3 in C minor by Edward Grieg and Sonata for Violin and Piano H. 24, no. 2 in H minor by Arthur Honegger.

Alma Dizdar received her secondary music education at the Music School of the 1st and 2nd grade in Mostar in the class of prof. Vasily Buzmakov. She graduated from the Music Academy, University of Sarajevo in the class of Prof. Mr. YeonJu Jeong. She attended her master's studies at the University of Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York in the class of prof. dr. Calvin Wiersme, and then at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo, in the class of Prof. Mr. YeonJu Jeong. For the first cycle, she was awarded the "Golden Badge" of the University of Sarajevo. She trained at seminars of famous pedagogues: Dora Schwarzberg, Anna Dzialak Savytska, Ernst Kovacic, Orest Shourgot, Cihat Askin, Calvin Wiersma, Mark Steinberg and others. She has performed in the countries of the region, Austria, Germany, France, Italy and the USA, and as a soloist she has performed with the Mostar Symphony Orchestra and the Strings attached Sinfonietta String Orchestra. She is a second year student of the III cycle of studies at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo in the class of prof. emeritus Ernst Kovačić. She is currently employed as a Violin Assistant at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo.

Nadir Hošić was born in Sarajevo, where he studied piano in the classes of prof. Elma Kraišnik and Vedrana Mujkić. He completed his graduate studies at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo, in the class of prof. Dragan Opančić. During his studies he won the First Prize at the 22nd International Competition for Young Pianists Sabac (Serbia), the Second Prize at the Ischia International Piano Competition (Italy), the Second Prize at the International Competition for Young Musicians Sonus op. 5 ”in Križevci (Croatia), and as the winner of the Second Prize at the 1st International Piano Competition“ Matusja Blum Memorial ”in Sarajevo, he was declared the winner of the category. Among Hošić's public appearances, his debut performance with the Sarajevo Philharmonic at the Sarajevo National Theater, conducted by Fuad Šetić, a recital held at the House of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the closing of the 35th Sarajevo Winter International Festival, and a recital held at the Concert Hall Cvjetko Rihtman Hall, as part of the 14th May Music Festival. He studied at masterclasses of renowned pianists such as: Boris Kraljević (Singapore), Jokut Mihailović (Serbia), Ruben Dalibaltayan (Croatia), Julia Gubajdullina (Croatia), Rita Kinka (Serbia), Avedis Kouyoumdjian (Austria), Stefan Vladar (Austria) ), Milana Chernyavska (Germany), Boris Berman (USA). He is currently a postgraduate student, who is attending the Erasmus + exchange program at the Music Academy of the University of Zagreb, in the class of prof. Rubena Dalibaltayana.
