Minister Nikolić and SPUS: By working together, we will strengthen academic autonomy, but also the responsibility of all actors in higher education

Minister of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić held a meeting with the representatives of the Student Parliament of the University of Sarajevo, Faruk Dević, and the Student Vice-Rector, Valida Abdagić.

On this occasion, Minister Nikolić invited students to take part in the implementation of the action "Mass afforestation 2021" organized by the Government of Sarajevo Canton through line ministries, which her guests accepted and said they were looking forward to the invitation, and expressed hope that student response would be satisfactory. and as an example to all other participants in this vital action.

The meeting also discussed the Law on Higher Education, especially the members that regulate the transfer of ECTS credits, ie subjects in the next academic year.

In this context, the need to draft a new law on higher education was also emphasized.

Other topics during this meeting were other issues of importance for students in Sarajevo Canton.

Minister Nikolić asked the representatives of the SPUS to take an active part in the process of passing the new law, as well as other projects and programs of science, education and youth that are important for the Sarajevo Canton.
