Faculty of Catholic Theology the University of Sarajevo celebrated its day
The Eucharistic celebration in the seminary church of St. Cyril and Methodius in Sarajevo and the occasional academy in the Paul VI hall in the Vrhbosna Theological Seminary on 18 October 2021 marked the Day of the Catholic Theological Faculty (KBF) of the University of Sarajevo was marked, which took St. Luke the Evangelist as its patron.
The Holy Mass was presided over by the Grand Chancellor of the KBF, Cardinal Vinko Puljić, Archbishop Metropolitan of Vrhbosna, with concelebration by professors and seminary educators and other priests and the participation of theologians and other students at the KBF, nuns and other believers.
Everything was greeted at the beginning by the Dean of the KBF, Rev. Dr. Sc. Darko Tomašević inviting attendees to offer thanks and prayers to God on the occasion of the feast of St. Luke.
Introducing the Mass, Cardinal Puljić thanked Dean Tomašević and greeted all those present and congratulated the feast of St. Luke, Patron of the Faculty.
The Mass celebration was followed by a solemn academic act that began with the student anthem Gaudeamus igitur. The singing was animated by soprano Katarina Kikić, and Davor Ljubić was at the piano. The program was moderated by Mr. Mario Jurišić.
The introductory speech was given by Dean Tomašević, who was followed by Cardinal Puljić and Rector Škrijelj, and a lecture on the formation of pastoral workers in the light of Amoris laetitia for a good resolution of marital situations was given by Dr. Sc. Rev. Ilija Marković.
During the promotion ceremony, the title of Master of Theology was acquired by: Nilson Gerardo Andrade Ibarra, Branimir Bevanda, Mislav Anton Botica, Filip Čeliković, Ilija Jurić, Zvonimir Kosić, Domagoj Matijević, Ivan Matijević, Ivan Mijać, Nikola Nikolić, Josip Papak, Tomislav Rajič, Marko Tunjić and Damir Vrbešić.
The award for the most successful student in the past academic year was received by Stipo Gabrić; for the best final work was awarded Mag. Theol. Ilija Jurić, and for the best success in the entire studies, the award went to Mag. Theol. Ivan Matijević.
