Certificates awarded to UNSA Faculty of Political Sciences students for successfully completed internships at the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The ceremonial reception of the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Political Sciences students was held at the House of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 26 June 2024, on the occasion of the completion of the student internship of the students of the Faculty of Political Sciences in the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the reception, the Minister of Defense of BiH Zukan Helez and the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Sead Turčalo, presented certificates to the students for the successfully completed internship at the Ministry of Defense of BiH.

29 students from the Department of Political Science and Security and Peace Studies successfully completed their internship at the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from 15 February to 15 June 2024.

“During your stay at the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, you showed an exceptional willingness to learn and adapt to work tasks, which we greatly appreciate. Your contribution to our projects and the ministry's team was essential, and I am sure that you have also gained valuable experience that will benefit you in your future career,” said Minister Helez to the FPN students. Minister Helez pointed out that the intention of the BiH MoD was to enable students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical skills, which can be acquired in a real working environment, and expressed his satisfaction that the BiH MoD was able to help FPN students expand their knowledge and skills. Minister Helez also wished the students all the best in their future careers with the message: “Stay here and love your homeland.”

On this occasion, Dean Turčalo especially expressed his gratitude to Minister Helez and the entire staff of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina for enabling the students of the Faculty of Political Sciences to practice in the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina. “The Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina introduced our students to how to work with NATO, EUFOR and the entire defense system,” said Dean Turčalo, expressing expectations that the cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the FPN will intensify in the coming period.

The official reception was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other representatives of the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo.
