The First Two Sessions of the Symposium “Culture of Conflicts and Its Overcoming V”

The first two sessions of the Symposium “Culture of Conflicts and Its Overcoming V” and a discussion on the positioning of philosophical thought in the Western Balkan scientific and cultural area were held on 17 December 2019, in the UNSA Faculty of Philosophy, Ceremonial Hall.
From presentations and discussions one could hear the characteristics and specificities of conflicts in the modern world, as well as the aspects of overcoming them. The participants in the discussions emphasized the elements of the modern crisis as well as the concrete indicators of social crises. In this context, the problems of education, culture and politics are particularly elaborated.
Very interesting discussions have taken place about the critique of liberalism and the structure of nationalist destructivism. The symposium aroused great interest from the professional public, which resulted in quality discussions.
During the first working day, the presentations were held by Mišo Kulić, Tomislav Tadić, Džana Rahimić, Uzeir Alispahić, Selma Alispahić and Šejla Avdić. Apart from the exhibitors, Samir Arnautović, Fahrudin Oručević, Armin Škrbo and others participated in the discussions.
The first working day of the symposium ended with a very interesting discussion on the position of philosophy in the Western Balkan countries.
