Visit of students of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies to the UNSA Operational-Communication Center of Bosnia and Herzegovina
On 13 and 14 December 2021, third and fourth year students of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies at the University of Sarajevo visited the Operational and Communication Center of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This study visit was realized within the subject "Crisis Management" of the first cycle of studies and "Operational Centers and Communication Systems" of the integrated study "Crisis Management". Accompanied by assistant Kenan Hodžić, the students visited the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to get acquainted with the situation and activities of the Sector for Protection and Rescue and the Operational and Communication Center of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Students were introduced to the work of the Operational-Communication Center, areas and organization of activities and ways of functioning in the daily operational collection and exchange of information with participants in protection and rescue.
Through the answers to the questions asked, the students got an insight into the basic challenges that OKC BiH faces in its work, with a special focus on the benefits of using the NICS system.
