UNSA Student Support Office realized a workshop on the topic “From student days to successful academic citizens“

On 17 March 2021, the University of Sarajevo Student Support Office (UPS!) realized an online workshop with students who completed their studies, which was intended for students who are still in the process of studying.

The topic of the workshop was “From student days to successful academic citizens”, and the workshop was an opportunity to identify and discuss obstacles during study that all students, including students with disabilities, can have, about prejudices, positive sides and challenges during studies. Alumni students shared their experiences, ways of learning and the importance of mutual support so that obstacles would not become reasons to drop out. The discussion resulted, among other things, in the conclusion that education is the most powerful means of increasing and maintaining the quality of life and development of each student, and the key is an integrated approach to the person and learning process, mutual support and strengthening of each individual.

The meeting was attended by University of Sarajevo students, the head of the Student Support Office, University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Lejla Kafedžić, member of the Expert Team, Doz. Dr. Sandra Bjelan-Guska, and Student Support Office expert associates: Amina Dumanjić, MA, who moderated the workshop, and Neđmina Gušić, MA. The Support Office Student will continue with similar activities in the current academic year and we are already looking forward to the next meeting.
