The book "Forensic Biology" Promoted
Today in the UNSA Rectorate Ceremonial Hall, a book was promoted - the university textbook “Forensic Biology” published by the University of Sarajevo, authored by: Čakar Jasmina, Damir Marjanović, Anja Haverić, Sanin Haverić, Maida Hadžić Omanović, Amira Kekić, Amela Pilav, Mirela Džehverović , Jusić Belma, Terzić Samra, Zukić Selma, Dahija Sabina, Lasić Lejla, Bakić Velida, Kalamujić Stroil Belma, Vesnić Adija, Hadžiemrić Amina and Bešta-Gajević Renata.
The book was presented by Prof. Dr. Čakar Jasmina, Dr. Sci. Amira Kekić, Prof. Dr. Selma Zukić, Prof. Dr. Admir Avdagić and Prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović. The moderator was Mr. Sc. Irma Durmišević.
The promoters presented a book in which, through seven chapters, a detailed and complete account of what is in the focus of research in the disciplines covered by forensic science is offered - starting with scientific knowledge about cells as the basic organizational and functional units of every living organism and the basic principles of inheritance, through various biological traces, the principles of their analysis and forensic identification and individualization, to the application of anthropology, botany, zoology and microbiology in forensics. Although it was conceived as textbook literature for students of natural, biotechnical and biomedical Faculties, it can be used by experts in this field, the wider scientific public and everyone who is close to this scientific field.
