Announcement of the Turkish World Congress of Orthopedics and Traumatology in Sarajevo
Bone and Joint Surgery Society (KECD) President from Turkey, Prof. Vedat Şahin and his associates visited the University of Sarajevo Rectorate on Friday, 13 December 2019. They were received by University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj and Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović. Prof. Mirza Biščević, President of the Association of Orthopedists and Traumatologists of BiH also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, they discussed the organization of the 3rd Turkish World Orthopedics and Traumatology Congress, scheduled for September 2020 in Sarajevo.
Bone and Joint Surgery Society (KECD), Turkey, was founded in 2012 to contribute to orthopedics and traumatology, support scientific studies and research in this field, encourage and reward researchers, and improve social relationships.
The first congress was held in Baku in 2018 and the second congress in Almaty in 2019. Each congress was attended by about 200 participants from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation and Kosovo.
At the meeting, support was expressed for the organization of the 3rd Turkish World Orthopedics and Traumatology Congress, and it was emphasized that such scientific events provide the opportunity to establish cooperation between academic staff, professional organizations, and universities.
