Steering Committee members – University Representatives Elected

At the 1st Election UNSA Session of 29 November 2017, the election of members into the Steering Committee - University of Sarajevo representatives was discussed.

The Senators have adopted the Commission's reports for the procedure implementation concerning the election of members into the Steering Committee - University representatives, and appointed the Commission for the conducting of the voting procedure concerning the election of members into the Steering Committee - University representatives.

For the 4 year term in office of University representatives in the Steering Committee, 15 candidates from the rank of full professors were registered.

After the voting, the Senate adopted the report by the Commission the voting procedure conducting.

The Senate of the University of Sarajevo at the session held six members of the Steering Committee - representatives of the University from the rank of full professors.

The elected members of the Steering Committee - representatives of the University are:

1.    Prof. Dr. Dijana Avdić, full professor, Faculty of Health Studies
2.    Prof. Dr. Kasim Bajrović, full professor, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
3.    Prof. Dr. Jasminka Gradaščević-Sijerčić, full professor, Faculty of Law
4.    Prof. Dr. Abidin Deljanin, full professor, Faculty of Transport and Communications
5.    Acc. Prof. Dr. Dejan Milošević, full professor, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
6.    Ddr. Lidija Zvačko, full professor, Faculty of Philosophy

During the same Session, the Senate, acting on the basis of the UNSA Student Parliament Decree on appointing a member into the Steering Committee - student representatives, appointed Haris Zahiragić, a student of the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo as the student representative.

The Steering Committee is a collegial governing body responsible for University’s operating. The University Steering Committee has 11 members appointed for a 4 year term, out of which 4 members are appointed by the Government on behalf of the founder, 6 members appointed by the Senate and 1 member as the student representatives appointed by the University Senate, which is elected and proposed by the Student Parliament.
