Human Rights Clinic opened in cooperation with the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo

Na Pravnom fakultetu otvorena Klinika iz ljudskih prava u saradnji s Uredom Vijeća Evrope u Sarajevu

On 25 October 2019, the Human Rights Clinic was officially opened at the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo, implemented by the Faculty of Law in cooperation with the Council of Europe Sarajevo Office.

The clinic is being implemented within the project “Legal Security and Effective Justice Initiative in BiH” and with the financial support of the Government of the Kingdom of Norway.

Students of the Clinic will be students of III and IV years of law studies, who will have the opportunity to become familiar with the mechanisms for protection of human rights within 25 teaching hours of the program and to further develop practical skills in this segment.

The Clinic was opened by Prof. Dr. Hajrija Sijerčić-Čolić, Faculty of Law Dean and Mrs. Loreta Vioiu, Council of Europe Sarajevo Office Head Community.

Following the welcome speeches, lectures were delivered by Mr. Sergey Dikman, Project Coordinator from the Council of Europe, and Mrs. Magdalena Jankowska-Gilberg, Professor of Law and Former Lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights.
