Faculty of Mechanical Engineering students and professors visited MS&WOOD in Fojnica

Professors and students from the 4th and 5th years of the MTD Direction of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering , University of Sarajevo visited the plants of B-H furniture manufacturer MS & WOOD in Fojnica. The possibilities of doing practice in the company were discussed, especially for students of the final year who write their diploma papers, as well as about the possibilities for employment.
Inspired by the organization and the speed at which MS&WOOD grew into such a large company, the special attention of students and professors was drawn to the multi-award winning collections of furniture Primum and Elle. MS & WOOD COLLEGE, the concept of lifelong learning, development and corporate social responsibility, and this time were the most important topics.
In addition to increasing the salaries of workers, these, like in the previous years, have been paid so-called. "Loyalty bonuses" for all production employees, during the year, 110 workers of the month from all plants were selected and rewarded. Also, this year employees who proposed innovations were rewarded, and all together resulted in numerous improvements in working conditions at the factory.
MS & WOOD produces high quality designed furniture. Currently, it employs about 400 workers. MS & WOOD furniture collections have so far received prestigious awards such as the German Design Award, and four Iconic Awards - prominent awards for the German Design Council, and the most interesting parts of the collections are exhibited at the Milan Triennial exhibitions.
