“Experiences in the process of study programs accreditation” Training Held

The training organized by the University of Sarajevo “Experience in the process of study programs accreditation” was held on 21 November 2018. Considering that internal institutional evaluation process and evaluation of eight University of Sarajevo study programs is being implemented, the training was intended for teaching and quality Vice-Deans, Quality Assurance Committee members, and teachers and associates from University organizational units.
The introductory speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Maida Čohodar Husić who emphasized that training was organized for better preparation for the upcoming accreditation process at organizational units. She also recalled successful examples of program accreditation, such as the Faculty of Economics at the University of Sarajevo, which received accreditation from several accreditation houses: Bureau Veritas (ISO 9001: 2008), AQA, EFMD (EPAS), and international accreditation of study programs at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo from ASIIN, German Accreditation Agency.
Their experience gained in the accreditation procedures was shared by Prof. Dr. Jasmina Selimović, Faculty of Economics Dean who spoke on the topic “Program accreditation - from application to decision”, Prof. Dr. Abdulah Akšamović from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering who presented the experiences in the process of accreditation of study programs at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, as well as Prof. Dr. Dušanka Bošković, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, who in her presentation pointed to the importance of learning outcomes for the accreditation process.
