FACULTY OF PHARMACY STUDENTS WON AT A STUDENT COMPETITION WITHIN THE CMBEBIH CONFERENCE

The CMBEBIH 2019 is the largest conference in the field of biomedical engineering in the area of Southeastern Europe, which has for the third year in Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered leading experts from this field. This year's CMBEBIH was held in Banja Luka in May and was organized by the Society for Medical and Biological Engineering in BiH (DMBIUBiH), in co-ordination with the Medical Faculty of the University of Banja Luka and the Faculty of Pharmacy in the University of Sarajevo. 116 works were presented at the Conference, 22 of which were published by Springer and Springer Nature from the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the educational character of the conference was confirmed by the student competition, in the form of a student session, which once again showed that Bosnia and Herzegovina has significant potential for the development of medical and biological engineering.
During the student session, 20 student papers were presented, among which were the works of students of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The students showed excellent presentation skills and excited the audience with the results of their research, therefore we are extremely proud of them and congratulate them on the achieved success, and special congratulations to the team working under the title "Development of a diagnostic support software in the clinicobiochemical evaluation of secondary amenorrhea diagnosis, "which took the first place at the student session. The team was led by colleague Nikolina Begović, who also presented the work on the aforementioned session, and besides it are: Amina Džiho, Lamija Aliman, Igor Đukić, Arnela Tarakčija, Vedad Terzić, Neven Meseldžić, Selma Imamović, Tanja Dujić, Maja Malenica, Tamer Bego. As a prize for the first place won, Nikolina secured participation in the Medicon conference, which is being held this year in Portugal.
