The Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Faculty of Transportation and Communications at UNSA have signed an Agreement on Business and Technical Cooperation

Sarajevo, March 5, 2025 – The Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ŽFBiH) and the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Transportation and Communications have formalized an Agreement on Business and Technical Cooperation aimed at bridging the gap between theory and practice in the field of transportation.
The agreement was signed by the acting president of the Management Board and general director of ŽFBiH, Mirza Hadžibegić, and the dean of the Faculty of Transportation and Communications at the University of Sarajevo, Professor Dr. Amel Kosovac, thereby reaffirming their mutual dedication to enhancing practical education, scientific research endeavors, and the professional development of personnel.
This collaboration will provide students with access to expert lectures and practical training at ŽFBiH, where their acquired knowledge will be documented through formal reports, further enhancing their professional competencies upon entry into the job market. Experts from ŽFBiH will share their insights with students, offering them a glimpse into specific applications of intelligent solutions in transportation.
Additionally, under the signed agreement, the Public Enterprise Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will grant five scholarships to newly enrolled students of the Faculty of Transportation and Communications at the University of Sarajevo, specifically in the railway transportation program.
The Faculty undertakes the responsibility of organizing specialized professional development programs for ŽFBiH employees and other interested parties, as well as conducting joint projects, reports, and studies of mutual interest. The signatories of the agreement have agreed that, within available resources, they will facilitate the use of rooms, technical equipment, and other aids for organizing seminars, conferences, lectures, and roundtable discussions.
This agreement marks a significant step towards advancing the development of the profession, strengthening human resources, and improving the quality of education and practical knowledge in the field of transportation.
