“Synthetic Biology: An Introduction” Presentation
The presentation “Synthetic Biology: An Introduction” is a part of the “Synbalkans Tour” project implemented by the iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) team from Thessaloniki, Greece.
The aim of the project is to familiarize students with the synthetic biology basics, its applications, earlier and current projects in this field, as well as the iGEM student competition. The iGEM competition is iGEM Foundation’s main program. The iGEM is a non-profit association organized with the aim of acting in the field of synthetic biology, education and cooperation. Founded primarily by students, the Foundation brings together a multidisciplinary team that, by working together, creates, tests and measures unique systems using different engineering principles as well as the methods of standard molecular biology.
The presentation will be held on 11 October 2018, from 14:00 to 15:30 at the premises of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences (Zmaja od Bosne 8, Sarajevo).
After the presentation, a short discussion will be organized and the certificates will be given to the participants in electronic form.
