Unique support for students - "GrowUp" Business Incubator

The first university business incubator “Growup” Business & Innovation Hub was officially opened on 5 December 2018 at the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo. The Business Incubator represents a unique support to students in developing the competencies, knowledge and skills that are necessary in the modern business world.

GrowUp manager and a professor at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo, Doz. Dr. Amila Pilav-Velić made a review of the first university business incubator “This incubator has been operative since September this year and we already have 25 start-ups, and by the end of May next year we will have a total of 75 start-ups. GrowUp Business & Innovation Hub is a central place for generating student innovative ideas, as well as a hub of corporate innovation in partnership with already established companies in our market.”

Through incubator activities, students are given specific assistance in gaining their first work experience and starting their own business in different sectors of activity with the mentorship of leading regional and international experts. In this way, the University of Sarajevo is socially responsible and wants to suppress a bad trend - leaving this country.
