Two-Day Erasmus + Re@WBC Project Consortium Representatives Meeting
The meeting between Erasmus+ project “Enhancement of HE research potential contributing to further growth of the WB region” (Re@WBC) consortium representatives was held at the University of Sarajevo on 6 and 7 November 2017.
In two days the University of Sarajevo hosted the 2nd Steering Committee meeting and the 2nd Re@WBC Quality Assurance Committee meeting. Consortium was welcomed, on behalf of Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo. Vice-Rector Rađo pointed out that the Re@WBC project has enhanced cooperation in the field of research potential among the institutions that had already established cooperation.
“I think that the importance of this project is manifold. Development of HR strategy for researchers and applying for the HR Excellence in Research Award, introducing Charter and Code principles at our universities, and raising awareness about anti-plagiarism campaign, would be to name just a few. With our joint aim of creating better conditions for research activities and platform for development of young researchers’ potentials in the region I am sure that we will have even more results to present by the end of the project, in this time next year” said Vice - Rector Rađo.
On the meeting’s first day, the consortium presented implemented activities within the program packages, while on the second day the results of the project were presented to the participating project parties. Meetings were concluded with quality assurances within project activities and financial management, as well as agreements regarding future activities with indicated problems in realization of project activities.
The objectives of the Re @ WBC project are:
- Improvement of human research potentials and development of human resources;
- Improving the conditions for the development of research and professional careers;
- Development of resources to support young and talented researchers;
- “Brain-gain” through active participation in research activities;
- Harmonization of research space;
- Regional cooperation through participation in the creation of a WBC regional strategy for science;
- Encouraging mobility.
The Re@WBC project lasts until November 2018, and the project coordinator (Grant Holder) is the University of Niš. Partners in the project are: University of Kragujevac, University of Novi Sad, University of Belgrade, Center for Science Promotion (Belgrade), University of Tirana, University of Vlora, University of Sarajevo, University of east Sarajevo, University of Montenegro, Polytechnic University of Turin, University of Leu, University of Coventry.
