The needs of the economic sector for technology and innovation Conference
The Needs of the Economic Sector for Technology and Innovation was the topic of the 3rd scientific and expert conference that was held in the BH Parliamentary Assembly on Wednesday, 23 January 2019, and organized by the Novi Grad Sarajevo Technical Culture Association. The conference sponsors were the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth KS. The conference partners were the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH, “CRPIT” Association and BH Futures Foundation. The University of Sarajevo also contributed to the conference though its Faculties of Pedagogy, Electrical Engineering, Transport and Communications, and Mechanical Engineering. There was also contribution to the conference made by Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Banja Luka, Center for Advanced Studies Sarajevo, Bit Alliance and other organizations and institutions.
The reason behind conference organizing was emphasizing, promoting and pointing to the importance of technology, innovations and IT technologies in the development of economy, raising awareness regarding the importance of those fields and their contribution to the industry and economy ‘s development, and the importance of directing young people to technical and IT orientations.
The conference organizer ( Novi Grad, Sarajevo) stated that global market is rather unpredictable and demanding from products rather high level of technology and organization, and that everything should be followed by new productive personnel, and that the entire society should participate in that process.
University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj said that importance of the conference was based on the fact that Bosnian economy’s recovery was directly conditioned by the development and affirmation of technology, technology and innovation, and emphasized that the development of science and technology was the basis of every modern and developed society.
Several panel discussions took place within the Conference. One of them was “The Needs of the Economic Sector for Technology and Innovation for Placing Innovations in the production sector and their Importance for the Improvement of Production Systems.” Panelists made several conclusions in this topic, and one of them is that the state is competitive if it is competitive above all in production companies, and in order to provide competitive production, quality education in all spheres of human activity is necessary.
