“Introduction to the Internet’s ecosystem“ and “IPv6 address planning and security” Lectures Held
The RIPE NCC, in cooperation with the UNSA University Tele-Informatics Center (UTIC) organized two lectures held in the University of Sarajevo’s Rectorate on 7 November 2018.
Lecture on the topic ““Introduction to the Internet’s ecosystem“ was delivered by Gergana Petrova (RIPE NCC) who talked about who manages the Internet, pointed to the extent to which the Internet is organized, what kind of organizations stand behind Internet’s individual segments and services, and about DNS and Exchange Points as functioning backbones of the global network.
Hisham Ibrahim (RIPE NCC) delivered a lecture on the topic ““IPv6 address planning and security” and spoke about planning IPv6 addresses and security issues in such networks. He also provided insight into best practices, explaining the most important security related issues in the application of IPv6 addressing.
