Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies students visited the Federal Civil Protection Administration

A group of 40 UNSA Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies students visited the Federal Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) on 2 December 2019.
During the visit, students, together with the coordinator, Assistant Kenan Hodžić, attended a lecture on “Explosive ordnance disposal (EOD)” through which they were introduced to the problem of mines and unexploded ordinance in Bosnia and Herzegovina and international standards and procedures for their removal, by the work of the Sector for operations of demining and disposal of explosive devices by the Federal Civil Protection Administration, its equipment, filling, training, as well as activities carried out daily by demining teams.
The Agreement, signed in 2015 by FUCZ and the Faculty, was preceded by a shared need to contribute to the scientific, educational and professional fields of social science development and a desire for cooperation that will contribute to the development, exchange of experience and knowledge, and confirmation of common interests for advancement in the field of education and research, the FUCZ stated.
The students showed great interest in the topic presented, but also in the project “FUCZ Volunteer Network.” Some students are already Network members, and for those who have not had the opportunity so far, this project and the application method have been briefly presented and invited to become part of the Network.
