Alma Mujanović on gained experience during professional practice: Proud of any new knowledge and skills
Alma Mujanović graduated from the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Sarajevo and shares with us the experience gained during her professional practice in Belgrade.
My name is Alma Mujanović, I was born in Montenegro, Bijelo polje. Since birth I have a not genetically inherited 94% hearing impaired, and also doctors did not know the cause of the problem.
My younger sister was born with an injured hearing. We lived in Bijelo polje briefly and moved to Sarajevo where we were sister and I enrolled in the Center for Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation. With my sister and her parents, we continue living in Sarajevo where I have completed my primary and secondary education. I graduated in June of this year at the Faculty of Health Studies, in the direction of radiological technologies.
During my studies I was active in many non-governmental organizations and attended various seminars and training courses where I was educated on human rights issues and struggling for the rights of people with disabilities. And today I have the same mission.
In addition to radiology, I went to the ITA Academy and became a certified new media designer. I am also the scholar of the largest foundation in BiH - Hastor Foundation where I volunteer in the administration sector. Also, I am a member of the Youth Advisory Group (YAG) at the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
I like to travel, to meet new people, I love photography and it is very difficult for me to confine my love to all these activities that are fulfilling me. That is why I had a problem choosing professional practice. However, this problem was solved very quickly thanks to a team from Belgrade who gave a great suggestion and that is to do a studio design studio at the Metropolitan University in Belgrade.
I liked the proposal and liked to accept it and I was happy because I would be able to apply my knowledge at ITA Academy in practice.
Of course, since the first day I liked it because I had my desk, and my computer, somehow I felt like I was in the workplace in the true sense of the word. I had the space to learn and apply new conceptual solutions. I was surprised that everyone in my department was very young and we could socialize and learn some new things faster.
I worked with the Adobe programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and suggestions and ideas for the Summer Campaign and Promotion of the Social Network (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and I had the opportunity to work on the Web design. From my colleagues I have perfected professional design skills and gained unparalleled experience in this field.
I must admit that I enjoyed the charms of the city of Belgrade, learned how to live outside BiH for a long time and meet friends that I will visit Belgrade again. In addition, I have gained a working experience that will help me in my future and my focus in life, and that is to keep all those different things I'm dealing with and proud of every new knowledge and skill, investing in yourself.
