PMF Programming Contest Student Competition Held
At the premises of the UNSA Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics on 17 March 2018, the 1st student competition Programming Contest was organized by the Association of Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Students, the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Mathematics and the Association of Mathematicians of the Sarajevo Canton.
This is the first time that this project is being implemented, which aims to bring together students of first and second cycle of studies from related Faculties, both the University of Sarajevo and other BH Universities to offer them the opportunity to show the acquired knowledge, and a chance to be recognized by industry.
All competitors were awarded certificates for participation in the competition, and the best of them received diplomas, cash prizes and the opportunity to present their task solutions to one of the leading IT companies in BiH – Symphony. They are:
- Riad Muminović and Muhamed Delalić (Faculty of Electrical Engineering),
- Muamer Polić and Armin Šarak (Faculty of Electrical Engineering),
- Paško Zdilar and Berin Spahović (Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics).
In addition, the first team won the registration fee participating in the software conference We are developers, which will be held in Vienna in May this year.
The valuable prizes also went to teams 4 and 5. Thanks to our sponsor Mekline, JBL GO speakers were presented to the following participants:
- Haris Šoljić and Fatih Zukorlić (Faculty of Electrical Engineering),
- Naida Agić (Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics) and Ali Dlakić (Faculty of Electrical Engineering).
Also, we would like to thank Demir Selmanović who prepared an interesting and useful lecture for all participants.
