The University of Sarajevo once again thanks the owner of the publishing house KultB from Sarajevo, Mr. Mustafa Kapidžić. and for this ceded placet (permission) and copyrights of this new UNSA online edition for free download, which, like several earlier ones, he very kindly ceded without any compensation for the benefit of ours, but also of all other students and researchers in our region. This kind of intention to disseminate knowledge was highlighted already in the year of publication of this translation exactly 20 years ago:
The wish of the publisher is that this book arouses the interest of those for whom it is primarily intended: researchers of this phenomenon, then art historians, especially those who deal with «Islamic» aesthetics. We consider this extremely important for our areas, after the terrible war that just passed and its consequences, which led to absurd "interpretations" of Islam, as well as actions completely contrary to that teaching and morality.
Although this book is also non-commercial for our company, as was Hans Daiber's book ─ The Struggle for Knowledge in Islam: Some Historical Aspects (KULT/B 2004), we decided to persevere in spreading knowledge and culture in this area as well, without which there is no progress for our country.
To our colleague Oliver Leaman, as an author, who is one of the world's leading connoisseurs of Jewish and Islamic philosophy, as well as to Mr. Mustafa Kapidžić:
KUDOS (public compliments and congratulations)!
