The UNSA Music Academy concert season opened
The Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo opened the 2021/22 Concert Season last night. Teachers and associates of MAS performed at the gala concert, held in the Concert Hall “Cvjetko Rihtman.”
The concert was opened by pianist Omer Blentić with the interpretation of "Dúos para principiantes" from "Obras de música para tecla, arpa y vihuela" ("Pieces for instruments with keys, harp and vihuela") by Spanish composer Antonio de Cabezon, after which he performed Toccata from monumental Partitebr. 6 in E minor, BWV 830 by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The first movement of Allegro ma non tanto from string quartet op. 18, no. 4 in C minor by Ludwig van Beethoven were played by Tamara Arsovski (violin), Alma Dizdar (violin), Aida Deljkić (viola) and Belma Alić (cello).
The program also included the work “Auf dem Strom” by D. 943Franz Schubert performed by Vedrana Šimić (soprano), Belma Alić (cello) and Azra Medić (piano), after which this trio also interpreted “Élégie” op. 10, no. 5 solo song by French composer Jules Massenet and Andantino from “La captive” op. 12 (OrientaleH.60C) Hector Berlioz.
The first movement of the Sonata for Violin and Piano Op. 13, no. 1 in A major by Gabriel Fauré was played by violinist Lorena Milina and pianist Zerina Šabotić, while guitarist Adnan Alagić performed the composition “Scherzo-Vals” by Miguel Llobet.
The program ended with the performance of cellist Belma Alić who performed "Dialogo", the first movement of the Sonata for cello solo by György Ligeti.
