University of Sarajevo Senate: Vice-Rectors Elected | UNSA allocates 200,000.00 BAM as aid to areas affected by floods
At the 1st constitutive session of the University of Sarajevo Senate held today on 7 October 2024, the University of Sarajevo Vice-Rectors were elected for the mandate 2024-2028 period.
In accordance with the Law on Higher Education of the Sarajevo Canton, the University of Sarajevo Statute, and the Rulebook on the Election of the UNSA Vice-Rectors, Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, University of Sarajevo Rector, submitted his proposal for the appointment of new Vice-Rectors to the Senate, which decided on the election of new Vice-Rectors.
At the Senate Session, University of Sarajevo Vice-Rectors for the mandate period 2024-2028 were elected:
- Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs, Dr. Dženana Husremović, associate professor at the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Philosophy - Psychological Methodology and Psychology of Work, Department of Psychology.
- Vice-Rector for Research, Dr. Naris Pojskić, full professor and scientific advisor at the University of Sarajevo - Institute for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology - Genetics and Molecular Biology.
- Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Dr. Kemal Durić, full professor at the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Pharmacy on the subjects: Pharmacognosy and Drug Chemistry I and Pharmacognosy and Drug Chemistry II, Department of Pharmacognosy.
- Vice-Rector for Quality, Dr. Dušanka Bošković, associate professor at the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Electrical Engineering - Automation and Electronics.
- Vice-Rector for Finance, Dr. Benina Veledar, associate professor at the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Economics - Accounting and Auditing.
- Vice-Rector For Arts, Artistic Research, Culture And Sports, MA. Arma Tanović Branković, associate professor at the University of Sarajevo - Academy of Performing Arts in the artistic field of Acting.
Term in office of Prof. Dr. Tarika Zaimović as the Rector of the University of Sarajevo started on 1 October 2024 and lasts for four years, i.e. until 30 September 2028. The Vice-Rectors' mandates follow the Rector’s mandate.
The Senate of the University of Sarajevo decided at today's session that the members of the University of Sarajevo will make available to the Government of the Canton of Sarajevo financial resources in the amount of 200,000.00 BAM to help areas affected by floods.
