University of Sarajevo and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Contracts signed for the implementation of two projects
After the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the proposal of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, adopted a Decision on the allocation of funds from the current grant “Programs for preparation of projects and potential candidates for funds from the H2020 fund” for 2020, today in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the University of Sarajevo and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina signed contracts for the implementation of two projects. The signing of the contract in front of the University of Sarajevo was attended by the Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj and Mr. Sci. Nina Begović, Head of the Department for Scientific Research of the University of Sarajevo.
In the following period, the University of Sarajevo will realize two projects in the value of 10,000.00 KM each. The first awarded grant refers to the project that will be implemented by the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo – “Contribution of Euraxess centers in BiH to the improvement of open, transparent and excellence-based employment policy (Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment of Researchers - OTM-R) in BH research institutions” aiming to improve policies of open, transparent and excellence-based employment at three public universities in BiH that are recognized by the European Commission “Excellence in Research”(University of Sarajevo, University of Banja Luka and University of East Sarajevo). The goals will be realized through the operation of EURAXESS centers of three universities, and the activities are harmonized with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Employment of Researchers.
The second grant refers to the project “Preparation and implementation of the project BITNET-INNOSUP” which will be implemented by a team involving representatives of the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo and the University of Sarajevo Rectorate, and which aims to provide comprehensive consulting services to improve innovation management and overall market capacity of domestic small and medium-sized companies. In addition to the activities envisaged by the existing H2020 project, the implementation of the grant will contribute to the improvement of the UNSA/CIR website dedicated to UNSA staff projects and scientific production.
