SK Minister of Internal Affairs visited the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies

Sarajevo Canton Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Admir Katica, and his associate Prof. Dr. Faik Špago, visited the Faculty of Criminology and Security Studies, University of Sarajevo on Wednesday, 9 January 2019.
In the first days after taking office, Minister Katica with implementing concrete activities in mind initiated the meeting with the Faculty Dean, Prof.Dr. Nedžad Korajlić and his associates.
At a working meeting, the directions of future joint activities were defined, where the continuing improvement and professional training of police officers in Sarajevo Canton was highlighted as a priority.
"The strategic orientation segment in the work of the Ministry of the Interior of Sarajevo Canton is certainly a reform of the knowledge of police officers, and the affirmation of the profession as a guarantor of a better security environment," said Minister Katica. He emphasized that the knowledge base for such a type of reform is primarily the Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies, but also the Faculty of Law, and the University of Sarajevo in all of its capacities.
Dean, Prof. Dr Nedžad Korajlić and his associates: Prof. Dr. Admir Hadžikadunić, Vice Dean for Education, Prof. Dr. Goran Kovačević, Vice-Dean for Finances, and Ermina Bakić, Head of the Teaching Service, introduced the distinguished guests with the activities of the Faculty of Criminal Justice, Criminology and Security Studies, as well as with all segments of the teaching process in all three study cycles that are taking place at the Faculty, with a segment of lifelong learning, that is, specialist education that is created and implemented by the Faculty for the needs of the staff of law enforcement agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The guests expressed satisfaction with the visit and concluded that in addition to top-level personnel training, the Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies certainly possess spatial capacities and adequate equipment for the realization of specialist education of police officers in Canton Sarajevo.
