Screenwriter and professors at the Academy of Performing Arts Elma Tataragić Moviesat the Berlin Film Festival
At this year's Berlinale, in the official competition selection, the Macedonian film BOG POSTOJI, ZOVE SE PETRUNIJA is the only film competing from the former Yugoslavia. The film-s director is by the famous Macedonian director Teona Strugar Mitevska and the scenarist is the Bosnian script writer Elma Tataragić. Otherwise, the two authors collaborated earlier – on the film KADA DAN NIJE IMAO IME IN 2017.
BOG POSTOJI, ZOVE SE PETRUNIJA is a co-production of Macedonia, Belgium, France, Croatia and Slovenia, and was completely filmed at locations in Macedonia last year. The film shows the almost comical absurdity of the world in which we live by focusing on the life of the unemployed 35-year-old Petrunija who decides to do it inconceivably and interact in the "male" world.
The film of our screenwriter competes for the prestigious Golden Bear award together with Fatih Akin, Hans Petter Molanda, Agnes Varde and others.
