Scientific and Cultural Cooperation between the “Ibn Sina” Institute and the University of Sarajevo
Dr. Kazem Zoghi Barani, the newly-elected director of the “Ibn SIna” Research Institute during his first official visit to the University of Sarajevo met with University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj.
At the meeting, the successful scientific and cultural cooperation between the “Ibn SIna” Institute and University of Sarajevo were discussed, as well as forms of its improvement.
Rector Škrijelj thanked Director Barani for the “Ibn Sina” Institute’s cooperation with the UNSA Faculty of Philosophy, especially with the Persian Language Department, and emphasized that this type of cooperation is extremely important for the University of Sarajevo.
“Your institute gives an entirely new dimension to the University of Sarajevo and in this respect we remain open to all forms of cooperation in the future” said Rector Škrijelj.
“Ibn SIna” Institute Director, Dr. Kazem Zoghi Barani expressed his satisfaction for the cooperation with the UNSA and pointed out that scientific and cultural cooperation does not know the boundaries and guarantees long term.
“One of the missions of the Institute is to be a sort of bridge in establishing connections between our two countries. Our activities aim to contribute to the improvement of the overall scientific environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina and we are ready and will continue to support the academic community in the future” said director Barani. He also stated that structural changes with an emphasis on international cooperation have been initiated in the “Ibn Sina” Research Institute in the previous period and that they put all potentials at the disposal of the academic community in order to better promote cultural and scientific cooperation.
Mr. Nermin Hodžić, Institute’s International Cooperation Assistant Director attended the meeting of Thursday, 19 April 2018 with UNSA Vice-Rectors: Prof. Drs. Aida Hodžić, Teaching and Student Affairs, Dženana Husremović, Research, Aleksandra Nikolić, International Cooperation, Maida Čohodar Husić, Quality and Prof. Zijad Mehić, Vice-Rector for Arts, Culture and Sports.
