Publication “Role of the waqf in the development of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo” presented

The publication “Role of the waqf in the development of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo” was presented in the Gazi Husrev-beg Library in Sarajevo. According to Prof. Dr. Zuhdija Hasanović, Faculty of Islamic Sciences Dean, the book is significant for a number of reasons, and one of them is to point out the waqf’s importance in the establishing of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
The publication is the result of team and research work of associates and professors of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences. Organizers of the promotion are the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo and the BH IZ Waqf Directorate. The moderator was Dr. Zehra Alispahić.
The fundraising campaign for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences began in 1970. Glasnik and Preporod regularly published founders' lists, and the Faculty opened seven years later.
