Polish Ambassador visited the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo
H. E. Jarosław Lindenberg, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Emanuela Suprowicz, First Secretary of the Embassy, visited the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo on 7 February 2019.
Ambassador Lindenberg and the First Secretary Suprowicz were welcomed the Faculty of Philosophy Dean, Prof. Dr. Muhamed Dželilović and the Head of the Slavic Languages and Literature Department Doz. Dr. Amela Ljevo-Ovčina.
Recalling that the Polish language was active in the 1980s and that at the end of 19810s and the beginning 1990s there was a three-year study of Polish language and literature, discussed the possibilities of reopening the Polish Language University at the Department of Slavic Languages and Literature and the introduction of the Polish language, and Culture 1 and 2 as elective courses for students of the University of Sarajevo.
Good academic cooperation of the Faculty of Philosophy with philological faculties in Katowice, Poznan, Warsaw, as well as other faculties in Poland was emphasized. Also, concrete steps were taken to improve co-operation as well as the opportunities for better exchange of students and teachers within various European programs and projects.
