Opening of a computer classroom equipped within the framework ERASMUS+ BESTSDI Project on the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Sarajevo
Through implementation of the Erasmus + BESTSDI project, the Faculty of Civil Engineering Sarajevo installed a new computer classroom with ten computers worth 19,400 KM, and a total station and dron worth 29,000 BAM.
The computer classroom was officially opened on 09.10.2018. together with students and professors of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
„Given that GIS is necessary tool in all areas of designing, planning, management and analysis, the equipment is intended for all students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering having subjects of spatial data infrastructure“ - said Assistant Professor Suada Džebo Project Leader.
The opening was attended by the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo Assistant Professor Mirza Pozder who emphasized that the equipment obtained through the project implementation will create an active and creative learning environment and will be of great help in the teaching process and student education. The new classroom is another step forward in terms of modernizing teaching and meeting international standards in the field of higher education - said Mirza Pozder.
By installing the equipment the Faculty of Civil Engineering created prerequisites for strengthening the role and significance of introducing concepts of spatial data infrastructure, extending curriculum in this area, and launching new research projects.
