New Initiative for International Cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the National Research Center in Giza

From 9 to June 13 June 2025, the 13th Staff Week was held at the University of Sarajevo. This event provided an opportunity for participants to network with representatives of the University of Sarajevo, as well as with representatives of embassies from the countries of origin of the participants. On 12 June, at the invitation of Mr. Wael Shih, consul at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, a meeting was organized attended by guests from the National Research Center in Giza, from the Department of Pharmacognosy—Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Saleh Aly and Prof. Dr. Salwa Mohammed Mahmoud Mohammed Elhallouty—as well as Prof. Dr. Kemal Durić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and Dr. Jasna Bošnjović, Head of the International Cooperation Service at the University of Sarajevo.
Based on the existing Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Sarajevo and the National Research Center, a series of joint activities are planned. An initiative has been launched to organize a joint working meeting aimed at establishing various forms of cooperation between the two institutions. The proposed working meeting would be organized with the goal of identifying research areas of mutual interest that could serve as the basis for future projects and partnerships.
The Egyptian Embassy actively supports this cooperation and provides significant contributions to its strengthening.
