The Minister for Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton visited the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Pharmacy
Minister for Science, Higher Education and Youth, Prof. Dr. Adna Mesihović, visited the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Pharmacy in order to support the development of higher education and scientific research in Sarajevo Canton.
During the visit, the importance of investing in higher education and infrastructure for scientific research was emphasized in order to improve academic excellence and create optimal conditions for the education and research work of students and academic staff.
Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Fahir Bečić presented the minister with laboratories and specialized equipment for research, the procurement of which was partly supported by the funds of the Ministry.
“Thanks to the funds of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth, we managed to enrich our scientific and research infrastructure, which enables us to conduct advanced research and provide education to the highest standards for our students,” said Prof. Dr. Fahir Bečić.
“The Faculty of Pharmacy plays a key role in the education of new generations of pharmaceutical experts whose education and training is important for the health sector of Sarajevo Canton and the entire social community. I am impressed by the excellence of the education programs offered at this college. Students here acquire comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical care, pharmacology, pharmaceutical technology and other relevant fields. Students also have the opportunity to gain practical experience through cooperation with health institutions and conducting research in modern laboratories. I am particularly pleased with the involvement and achievements of the Faculty in research and development in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the achieved international cooperation. As the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Youth, I support the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Sarajevo in their efforts to provide a top-notch educational program and to be leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. I am grateful to the faculty for the warm welcome and inspiring visit,” Minister Mesihović concluded during the visit.
Initiatives and projects supported by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth are key to maintaining a high level of research excellence at the Faculty. In this regard, the visit of the Minister Prof. Dr. Adna Mesihović to the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Pharmacy, not only symbolizes the continuous support of the Ministry to academic institutions, but also recognizes the importance and influence that the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Pharmacy has in the field of higher education, research and innovation.
