Joint Master Program “At the values list, at the first place is always human being” Promoted

“When motivated by the intention of doing something good in a country fraught with problems, we are often not even aware of obtained results“ said Prof. Dr. Zuhdija Hasanović, UNSA Faculty of Islamic Sciences (FIN) Dean in his opening address to current and future students of the joint Master's program “Interreligious Studies and Peacebuilding.”
This Master, unique in the sense that students listen to lectures together at FIN, UNSA Faculty of Catholic Theology, and St. Vasilije Ostroški Orthodox Theological Faculty, University of East Sarajevo, is expecting its third generation of students who had the opportunity to speak with their students yesterday in Sarajevo to colleagues who are studying or have already completed the said study.
“This master is a bull’s-eye, especially in the times we live in. I hope that more young generations will go through this study to learn that they always put a person on the list of values” said Bojan Topić, Master’s first generation student. His second-generation colleague, Almina Šatrović, added that through her studies, “she gained a broader and more accurate insight into her religion and adequately introduced herself to other religions” while Deacon Milan Đukić, a Master’s second-generation student enrolled “because of social responsibility” and said the master “fully met his expectations.”
Dean Hasanović also commented on the thinking of students studying or studying, emphasizing that everyone is united in one: “We need peace and understanding - this is what all masters students stand for, no matter what region of Bosnia and Herzegovina they come from or what education they received.”
To date, through the first two generations of this Master's program, more than 30 students enrolled in teaching, and for the academic 2019/2020 year, scholarships were provided for a certain number of students, in accordance with the criteria previously prescribed.
The Master of Inter-religious Studies and Peacebuilding is supported by the USAID's PRO-Future project, implemented by CRS with partners in more than 70 local communities in BiH.
