The Federal Ministry of Education and Science Allocated 1.28 Million BAM for the Science

In the organization of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, on Monday, 28 May 2018 in Mostar, the signing of a contract for financing programs and projects in the field of science in 2018 of importance to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina took place.
The contracts were signed by the Federal Minister of Education and Science, Prof. Dr. Elvira Dilberović with the authorized representatives of eight public higher education and scientific institutions in the Federation of BiH. For this purpose the Ministry provided funds in the 2018 budget in the total amount of 1.280.000, 00 BAM.
This support is awarded through a contract, without a public invitation, or directly to public higher education and science institutions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, in accordance with their own strategic commitments and development needs, decide on the use of the allocated funds within defined programs. Thus, the contracts precisely regulate the rights and obligations of the institutions, while the Ministry intensifies supervision of the intended use of funds.
These include, inter alia, programs of support for scientific training at the doctoral study, issuing scientific literature and reference journals, inter-institutional scientific-technological cooperation of international character, organization of domestic and international scientific meetings and research of importance for the Federation of BiH and co-financing research work and study visits. Also, these contracts also apply to projects and programs for equipping science and higher education institutions when it comes to the arrangement of space and the purchase of priority equipment for scientific and research development work.
In the field of science, Public Invitation to Support the Work of Other Public Scientific Institutes and Scientific Societies, as well as for the purchase of recent scientific literature from commercial publishers in the FBiH area, for which 130.000,00 BAM was secured and Public Invitation for Program Support and projects of institutions of science and culture of importance for BiH, in the total amount of 1.050.000, 00 BAM.
