Enroll the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences, University of Sarajevo - Modernization and improvement of competitive abilities of agribusiness and rural areas, but also sustainable development of BiH
The Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences, University of Sarajevo is the oldest secular higher education institution in BiH and the oldest member of the University of Sarajevo. It was founded on 21 March 1940 by a decree of the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (Official Gazette, No. 164.LIV).
Today, the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences is an organizational unit within the University of Sarajevo, which contributes to the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also around the world, thanks to successful former students and colleagues.
The vision is based on the use of heritage and tradition, to strengthen excellence and recognition, strengthen the collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit of all those who are or will be our partners, associates, advisors, as well as young people who discover, build and improve the world.
The mission is based on the application of many years of experience, multicultural, inclusive and attractive environment, which creates and enables quality transfer of ideas, technologies and innovations in which everyone can express creative and innovative potential, with the aim of modernizing and improving competitiveness of agribusiness and rural areas. and sustainable development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At four departments of the Faculty (Plant Production, Zootechnics, Food Technologies and Economics of Agriculture and Food Industry) classes are organized in seven study programs: Fruit and Viticulture, Farming and Vegetables, Zootechnics, Food Technologies, Nutrition and Economics of Agroindustry. Together with the Department of Biology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Sarajevo, an undergraduate study "Aquaculture" was created within the Department of Zootechnics.
