Continuing cooperation between Elsevier and the University of Sarajevo

Elsevier representatives, the world's leading scientific publisher, led by Ms. Oana Stoian, agent for the Southeast Europe, visited the University of Sarajevo on 16 July 2019. They were received with Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović and Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović and their associates.
Access to the latest scientific and research information, the planning of evidence-based research work and the evaluation of research programs are essential for accomplishing the University’s research mission.
In order to achieve timely access to quality scientific and technical information, the University of Sarajevo provides subscriptions to quoting and aggregate databases, enabling the University of Sarajevo’s faculty the access to the latest scientific journals and books (monographic publications) production, as well as bibliographic-citation databases allowing the monitoring of new research, as well as information selective dissemination services.
Keeping in mind that present contract expires at the end of August 2019 the University of Sarajevo has entered into the phase of new negotiations with Elsevier. During the meeting Elsevier representatives presented their services and pointed out segments that were improved, followed by talks on continuing cooperation.
