UNSA Faculty of Philosophy: Fourth International Conference on English Language, Literature, English Teaching Methods and Translation (CELLTTS)
We would like to inform you that on 1 and 2 October 2021, the Fourth International Conference on English Language, Literature, English Teaching Methods and Translation (CELLTTS) was successfully held.
With the fourth CELLTTS conference, board members and our sixty participants from the wider region, Europe and the world tried to answer the extremely socially relevant topic: “Reconsiderations of gender concepts and identities in discourse and practice through time and scientific disciplines”. Due to the epidemiological situation, the conference was held online.
Our plenary speakers, esteemed Drs. Greta Olson, Roelien Bastiaanse, Daniel Xerri, held plenary lectures on “Resilience, Resistance, and Healing in Anti-Gender and Pandemic Times”, “Time Reference in Aphasia” and “Embracing Diversity in the Multicultural Classroom” and panelists presented and discussed various subtopics of the conference, from the way of portraying gender, gender identities and gender-based violence in contemporary Anglophone literature, culture, film and drama, through the use of sexism and vulgarism in contemporary English and the languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina (in media and advertisements), then the influence and predictors of gender has an identity on language expression and language acquisition as well as on the application of various applications and platforms in modern approaches to language teaching.
