Meeting between Turkish Ambassador, University of Sarajevo Rector and Turkish students
The Turkish Embassy's Education Office hosted Turkish citizens studying at the University of Sarajevo and organized a meeting and socializing with H. E. Haldun Koç, Ambassador and Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, UNSA Rector.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Vasi Ete, Attaché to Education, Prof. Dr. Aida Hodžić, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs, Ms. Amina Čikić Ertem, Consulates, Mrs. Zerina Džanbegović-Lasica, Education Office, and Turkish citizens who are students at the University of Sarajevo.
With words of gratitude to students for selecting the University of Sarajevo, Ambassador Koç and Mr. Ete, the meeting initiator, Rector Škrijelj pointed out: “The fact that we have at the University of Sarajevo students coming from modern and developed countries like Turkey makes us proud. Your influence on other students to choose Sarajevo is just as exciting as your confidence in studying at our University.”
In his address, Education Attaché Mr. Ete said that the meeting was organized with the desire to accommodate students, give them chance get acquainted and help them with solving possible difficulties they might face.
During the meeting it was agreed to work on facilitating administrative procedures, and to consider writing of in Turkish for students at the Department of Turkish Language and Literature. It was decided to discuss with representatives of Turkish companies providing of scholarships for Turkish students. Some solutions were found for students' problems related to obtaining residence permits, as well as opportunities for participation in the EU projects.
